Matt Westerlund joined the Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in 2010. He is currently a Principal in the Chicago office. At BCG, Matt works with clients in the industrial goods industry, particularly in agriculture and large machinery. He also specializes in corporate development topics like M&A, growth strategy and portfolio management.
Matt has also developed deep experience in social impact work at BCG, serving clients globally and locally on topics including education, financial inclusion and global health. He also served as an Education Pioneers fellow in Chicago in 2015.
Matt earned an MBA with High Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He previously graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in economics and a minor in Hispanic studies.
