Heather Townsend is the President of Heather Townsend Communications, LLC., where she specializes in providing customized communications coaching to a wide variety of clients, including financial institutions, law firms, foundations, management teams, and individuals.
Previously, Heather worked for eight years as an attorney in the litigation department of a large international law firm, where her practice included complex commercial litigation and federal trials. She then returned to her performance roots, working as a professional actor in Chicago. A member of the Actors’ Equity Association and the Screen Actors’ Guild, her credits include productions with the Paramount, Victory Gardens, Mercury Theatre, Shattered Globe, Northlight, Remy Bumppo, Theatre Wit, Porchlight, as well as readings with the Goodman and Steppenwolf.
She received her B.A. in English from Columbia University and her J.D. from The University of Chicago Law School, where she won the Hinton Moot Court Competition in her second year.
